Recently, according to foreign media reports, a new compact SUV is being developed based on the pure electric vehicle platform MEB, which will be named ruggdzz in the stage of concept vehicle. The product positioning of the model will be more focused on outdoor off-road performance. It is understood that the Ruggdzz exterior body design may be different from other electric vehicles in the Volkswagen ID family series, and the glass material design may be used in the C pillar area to make it have a translucent visual effect. Ruggdzz will launch 5-seat and 7-seat versions, which will be available in North America and China. At the same time, ruggdzz will provide off-road models (with longer suspension travel and off-road kits) as well as on-road models.
