Recently, the United States Manufacturers Association (ustma) released the new phase of tire shipment forecast data. It is predicted that in 2019, the shipments of various tires in the United States will reach 331.1 million, an increase of 0.8% year on year. Among them, the original passenger car tire shipments are expected to increase by 2.7% to 6.6 million. The number of original light truck tires reached 5.9 million, up 4.8% year on year. The original car tire shipments decreased by 21 million, expected to be 45 million, down 4.5% year on year. In terms of replacement tire market, the shipment volume of light truck tire replacement market reached 32.2 million, up 1.6% year on year. It is worth noting that the expected data of passenger car tyres in the replacement market is 19.2 million, down 11.7% year on year. In March this year, the American Tire Manufacturers Association said that China's passenger car tires were subject to high tariffs, which may lead to further expansion of the decline. It is understood that at present, the members of this association include 12 tire companies. Their 57 tire factories in the United States have annual sales of more than $27 billion, accounting for 79% of the above shipments.
