One of the factors that affect the popularity is the public acceptance. After all, the driving right of a car is in the hands of a machine, and users will inevitably feel unsafe. In order to break away from the unrest of users, a China automatic driving start-up company came up with a "magic trick" to show users the doings of the self driving car in video mode, and each driving link is visually visible. On November 14, Wenyuan Zhixing announced the launch of the first operation level visualization product, weride viz, to present the real-time operation state of automatic vehicles in a simple visualization language. Relying on AI (Artificial Intelligence) algorithm and technology engine, WeRide Viz transmits Robotaxi (autopilot taxi) and its surrounding road information to the passengers in real-time at 60 frames per second, and builds a bridge between self driving cars and passengers through human-machine interaction. The details of the rendered scene even include rain, horse road, umbrella, etc. In addition to replacing human drivers to communicate with passengers, the more important function of weride viz is to rebuild people's sense of safety in the autonomous driving space. It's worth noting that weride viz doesn't display all the information of the external world on the screen, but more importantly, "subtraction". Weride viz selects 5% of the key information from the massive data, and presents the most useful information for passengers, such as traffic lights, vehicle speed, driving route, perspective conversion, navigation and emergency call, on the interactive interface. At the same time, when the car changes lanes or dodges pedestrians, weride viz gently reminds the passengers in the form of changing the view angle, highlighting the surrounding vehicles, etc., so that the passengers can know that all changes in the driving process are "seen in the eyes" by robotaxi and master in its algorithm. In the future, robotaxi will have deep human-computer interaction, which is likely to become the "third space" outside people's work and life. If technical means can provide users with a full sense of safety, it is an effective driving force for the whole industry to promote the commercial landing of automatic driving.
