On March 18, momenta officially announced a strategic cooperation with the company to provide high-precision map and update services based on camera vision technology. In this cooperation, the two sides will jointly promote the commercial landing of Toyota's automatic map platform (AMP) in China, so as to better serve Chinese users. Momenta's vision based high-precision semantic map solution is highly scalable and ready for mass production. Through crowdsourcing, the solution can create closed-loop feedback loops for big data, artificial intelligence (AI) and high-precision map updating. Momenta can also discover changes from map elements and send updated data to the cloud. Aiming at the base drawing and crowdsourcing update of high-precision map, momenta has developed a complete set of drawing update hardware, and the information update and verification run through the whole product life cycle. In terms of high-precision map drawing and updating, momenta uses "two legs" to walk: complete map drawing through its own channels or cooperative channels; install equipment after layout and positioning box before layout, and complete map updating by crowdsourcing. In addition, momenta's automatic map production line can effectively process big data to ensure the freshness of high-precision maps, so as to provide fresh and safe maps for different automatic driving functions such as positioning, planning, control, etc. Momenta and Toyota will play their respective advantages in this cooperation.
