Mercedes Benz is making great efforts to lay out the electric market in the past two years. As early as a month ago, we learned through the new car release plan disclosed by the brand that more than 30 models of Mercedes Benz will be released and put on the market before 2022, in which electric vehicles account for a large proportion. Recently, overseas media exposed a group of spy photos of Mercedes Benz EQB's snow road test. Although the exact time to market has not yet been received, the new car is expected to enter the market in 2021. If I don't say this is Mercedes Benz's EQB, I'm sure many people will recognize it as a Mercedes Benz GLB model with a big fire. It's true that there are a lot of similarities in appearance between the two cars, except that this is the pure electric version of GLB. In the early spy photos, Mercedes Benz EQB used the same double horizontal flag middle net and headlights as GLB, which looked very hard and even had the taste of GLS. But through the latest spy photos, we found that its front face had changed, and did not continue the previous design. Although the heavy camouflage covers almost all the details, it can be concluded that as an electric version of EQB, the traditional air intake grille of Mercedes Benz will not be used, but it is likely to be a closed grille shape, so it is better than GLB in terms of aerodynamics. In addition, the headlamp shape of EQB will be thinner than that of the fuel version. The advantage of thinning is that "eyes" are sharper, and the visual effect after lighting up at night should be very good. There is no camouflage on the side of the car, so it will remain the same design as GLB. In terms of body size, the length, width and height (mm) of Mercedes Benz GLB body are 4638 / 1834 / 1687mm (excluding luggage rack), and the wheelbase can reach 2829mm, which is likely to be maintained on EQB. On the use of hub, EQB may use the aerodynamic wheel with avant-garde shape, which has the advantages of lighter weight and higher aerodynamic efficiency. If it can be carried on a new car, it will effectively improve the driving range of the car. In terms of rear styling, we can't distinguish well because of too many camouflages, but one thing is clear, that is, the license plate of EQB is moved to the rear bumper, and the whole car won't have exhaust styling design. The tail lights of new cars will also be slightly different. The license plate position may be moved to make room for a light belt between the two tail lights. As we see on EQC, of course, so far this is only a guess. In addition, some unique signs of electric vehicles will be added to the tail. For the general outline, consumers can refer to the shape of the current GLB. For electric vehicles, the two points that consumers are most concerned about are power and mileage. At present, there are many discussions on which electric drive system will be used by Benz EQB in the market. The most common view is that EQB will be equipped with double motor device, with a comprehensive output power of 268 horsepower and a maximum torque of 500 nm. This set of data sounds familiar because it is the same as the data released when the EQA concept car was released in 2017. At that time, Mercedes Benz said that the acceleration time of 100 km of the EQA concept car was 5 seconds, but considering that the size of EQB relative to the EQA concept car would be larger, so the acceleration time would be slightly slower, about 5.2 seconds. In addition to the dual motor unit, Mercedes Benz EQB will also be equipped with a 60kwh battery pack, which can provide a range of about 500km. Of course, if the high endurance version is launched, it is likely to be 80kwh or even 100kwh battery pack, and the endurance capacity will be further improved. #According to the current research and development process of Mercedes Benz EQB, the new car will appear sometime in 2020 and officially enter the market in 2021. Although there is no information about the price, we can refer to the price of Mercedes Benz GLB in China. On this basis, it will float tens of thousands of yuan.
