On December 3, the first set of intelligent asphalt road paving and compaction equipment was applied in Zhujian road reconstruction project in Shanghai. There are 3 sets of unmanned equipment on the construction site. Among them, the driverless paver "takes the lead" and advances steadily according to the preset route to pave the asphalt mixture evenly on the road. Two driverless rollers followed closely, repeatedly rolling the newly paved road. According to reports, this set of driverless pavement equipment is jointly developed by the road and bridge group of tunnel Co., Ltd., Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Beidou platform company, carrying the "smart brain" - Beidou satellite positioning and navigation system. The self driving roller has the function of automatically avoiding obstacles and can avoid the obstacles with the shortest distance of 1.5 meters. Compared with the traditional construction, the use of driverless equipment can reduce 30% of the manpower input, and also reduce the errors and hidden dangers caused by manual operation. In the future, the application scenarios of driverless paver will be expanded to different fields such as urban viaduct and airport engineering to meet the diversified urban construction needs.
