Recently, the Beijing innovation center of Automobile Group officially opened in Beijing. This is the fifth global open innovation center established by Hyundai after Silicon Valley in the United States, Seoul in South Korea, Tel Aviv in Israel and Berlin in Germany. According to the introduction, the existence of the Beijing innovation center of Hyundai Motor Group is mainly to explore and make use of various innovation opportunities and business models in China and contribute to the growth of the new business of Hyundai Motor Group. As an open innovation and strategic investment business department of Hyundai Automobile Group, Hyundai Innovation Center focuses on "disruptive innovation" opportunities in the fields of smart travel, smart city, energy, robotics and artificial intelligence, and widely invests in global start-ups with high growth potential and layout cutting-edge technology. Yang Ping, general manager of Beijing innovation center of modern automobile group, pointed out that Beijing innovation center will connect the local innovation partner network through building an open innovation interactive platform (OIIP) in China. According to Hyundai, up to now, Hyundai has cooperated with Chinese School enterprises many times. Last year, Hyundai and Tsinghua University jointly set up the "hydrogen energy fund"; in March, Hyundai invested in China's start-up, gelingshentong, to promote relevant technical cooperation. In addition, Hyundai has also reached cooperation with local Chinese start-ups such as immotor, widestool technology and Uber love in intelligent environmental protection battery, high-precision map application and front loading networking data application. Hyundai's investment in China is mainly realized through Hyundai (China) Investment Co., Ltd., which was founded on September 22, 2004. It is a foreign-funded company jointly funded by Hyundai Motor Co., Ltd., Hyundai Motor Co., Ltd. and Hyundai Mobis Co., Ltd. Hyundai Automobile (China) Investment Co., Ltd. is committed to providing active and effective support for the relevant enterprises in the group by exploring new business areas in China, so as to form a more complete value chain of the automobile industry.
