Recently, autox, a start-up, said it was ready to expand its business to Asia. AutoX is expected to deploy 10 autopilot cars in the area for early experimentation, and will expand the fleet to 100 vehicles in the future. In Southeast Asia, Singapore's autopilot car market is the most mature in terms of technology, policy, infrastructure and consumer factors. Its goal is to introduce self driving buses as early as 2022. Analysts expect autox to start a self driving tour of Southeast Asia from Singapore or Jakarta, Indonesia. According to the relevant data, the composite annual growth rate of the global autopilot car market is about 39.47%, and the market will reach US $556 billion 670 million by 2026, much higher than that of 2019's US $54 billion 230 million. The improvement of the intelligent network infrastructure in Southeast Asia, as well as the transition from ownership of vehicles to mobile service (Maas), have promoted the growth of the global autopilot market to a certain extent. Xiao Jianxiong, founder of autox, pointed out that by the end of 2022, at least one city in China will be able to realize what waymo has done in Arizona, that is, to launch the self driving taxi business, without the need for prior training of safe drivers. It is reported that in September 2019, autox completed a round of financing of US $100 million from leading investment, and investors such as Alibaba entrepreneur fund and Silicon Valley incubator participated in this round of financing.
