According to foreign media reports, Ford announced that it had hired Scott Griffith, former chairman and CEO of Zipcar, as its automotive business director. Griffith was head of Zipcar until 2013 and has held the position for more than 10 years. Alphabet's waymo launched its commercial self driving taxi service last year, while Ford's rival General Motors delayed plans to launch the service early this year, but it is likely to launch it in the San Francisco area this year. Zipcar is a time-sharing rental Internet car sharing platform in the United States. It has been nearly 20 years since its establishment. The founders of Zipcar are Robin chase and antje Danielson.
