Recently, Volkswagen Group announced the order quantity and production of its first model, taycan, in 2019. The data shows that the demand for this pure electric four door luxury sports car is far greater than the supply. According to the group's data, Porsche taycan produced 1386 units in 2019 (about 0.5% of the total production of all Porsche models), but by the end of 2019, taycan's purchase orders (with deposit) had exceeded 15000, which did not include more than 20000 advance orders (without deposit). According to previous reports, the delivery date of Porsche taycan in China is expected to be after April 20. Porsche will take the lead in launching two high-end models of taycan in China, namely, taycan turbo and taycan turbo s. The starting prices of the two models are 1.498 million yuan and 1.798 million yuan respectively. As for the lower positioned taycan 4S model, it is said that it will be officially delivered in the middle of this year, with a starting price of 1.148 million yuan.
