NiO's highly anticipated ec6 electric power starts production in jac-nio advanced manufacturing center in Hefei. This is an important milestone for struggling electric vehicle manufacturers. In terms of appearance, the same X-bar front end design as ES6 and double-layer headlights, protruding fender bulge, flush door handle and U-shaped tail lamp design. Ec6 offers two configuration options, the basic variant is equipped with dual high-efficiency permanent magnet motors, producing 160 kW (215 HP). It goes from zero to 100 km / h in 5.6 seconds. In addition to ec6 SOP (put into production), NiO and Hefei municipal government also announced the signing of a framework agreement to establish NiO China's headquarters in Hefei. When ec6 was officially launched in December, insideevs was NiO's guest of the year.
