According to foreign media reports, at the work truck show 2020, motiv power systems, a sustainable development technology company, provided a software platform for the electrification of medium-sized trucks and buses, and the platform was equipped with a new f-59 chassis. The new f-59 chassis can be used for urban parcel delivery fleets, delivery buses, school buses and shuttle buses. The chassis has a short wheelbase and is equipped with motiv's adaptive controller (ABC) and lithium-ion battery pack. According to the company, such functions can maximize modularity, improve vehicle control, increase cargo space and extend cruise. In general, such functions can help fleet operators to save costs and improve the reliability of the fleet. "The challenges faced by urban teams are unique: narrow corners, small parking spaces and overcrowding," said Jim castlaz, founder and CTO of motiv power systems. By working closely with customers and listening to their opinions, we have built an f-59 chassis to help them overcome such challenges. Our vision is to get the fleet out of fossil fuels and develop practical solutions in a customer-centric way. " Motiv said that the f-59 chassis is part of its "electric intelligent chassis" (EPIC) series, which is very reliable and cost-effective, able to meet the strict and changing needs of team operators, while the production process is simplified to speed up delivery. To reduce costs, increase payloads and extend range, Motiv's F-59 chassis uses BMW's batteries. The battery is mass-produced, has low degradation rate and high safety. According to different routes, the battery can last more than 120 miles (193.12 km). ABC can manage multiple battery packs, reducing the total vehicle weight and motor cost.
