Moixa, a developer of smart software for home and electric vehicle charging, and alfen, an expert in future energy solutions, launched a new EV charging partnership. The two companies will use gridshare, moixa's AI driver software, to enable electric vehicle drivers to provide essential flexibility to the UK's energy system while reducing household energy costs. Moixa has integrated its moixa hub with alfen's EV charger, so that moixa's gridshare AI software can create personalized intelligent charging plans based on the optimization of home energy consumption mode, locally produced solar PV energy and usage time rate. The main purpose of the test is to assess the impact of smart charging on the energy bills and carbon emissions of electric vehicle owners. The purpose is also to use chargers for grid service by increasing and decreasing charging speed. "Adding Moixa's smart home energy management to Alfen's smart chargers can provide customers with real cost incentives and enable them to outperform their competitors," said Simon Daniel, chief executive of Moixa. Simon Daniel "Smart charging is essential to support the introduction of electric vehicles to the UK market. By 2026, as many as a fifth of new cars will be electric, and by 2040, 36 million "wheeled batteries" are expected to be on the road in the UK. Our intelligent charging solution with alfen alfen will help drive this rapid growth and ensure that our power network is not overloaded. " The initial phase of the project will launch a 7.4kw alfen Eve single Pro line charger integrated with moixa's gridshare AI software in a few UK homes. Gridshare optimizes the charging mode based on driver behavior, energy cost and weather forecast to realize the real-time aggregation and intelligent charging of EV battery. Alex earl, UK regional manager of alfen, said: "the solution is fully in line with our overall mission of providing intelligent energy solutions, making electric vehicle drivers more sustainable by charging at the cleanest and most cost-effective time. If this technology is applied to all our customers, it can have a huge impact, it will drive personal cost savings and ultimately accelerate the growth of electric vehicles. " Participants will receive free AI enabled charging technology. Upon successful completion of the initial trial, moixa and alfen will commercially launch the offer. Partners are now signing up the right participants to participate in the trial. The installation will be carried out by Stratford energy solutions, solar photovoltaic, energy storage, electric vehicle charging and power contractors. Alfen cooperated with the company to complete the electric nation project of Western power distribution in 2017 and 2018, which is the largest EV home intelligent charging test in the world. This release marks the development and growth of this partnership enhanced by moixa's AI capabilities.
