"We see that wipac Czech plays an important role in our growing global lighting business, particularly the automotive headlamp business for European car manufacturers," said John O'Hara, President of Magna's Electromechanical, automotive mirror and lighting division. " In 2018, Magna acquired olsa S.p.A., a market leader in the field of automotive rear light technology in the United States. This time, Magna acquired the Czech lighting company wipac Czech s.r.o. to further expand its influence in North America. Magna has 11 lighting manufacturing plants and 3 engineering centers in the world.
