In August this year, auto United Tencent launched the car version of wechat, and used Chang'an cs75 for function display. In November, GAC trumpchi GS4 was officially launched, which also became the world's first mass production vehicle equipped with car wechat. It can be seen from the actions of car companies that there is a need for social networking in cars. However, the natural contradiction between social interaction and driving safety is also the focus of consumers' attention. What makes people wonder is how wechat in car affects driving safety compared with mobile phones in car? On November 22, the Information Research Institute of China Automotive Technology Research Center (hereinafter referred to as "Carr") issued a "test report on intelligent vehicle communication software". The evaluation results show that the proportion of on-board wechat to focus on the road ahead is increased to 94.7% compared with the mobile wechat in the car, and the proportion of gaze on the main road under the condition of information interaction is increased to 91.9%. Compared with mobile phones in the car, wechat in the car improves driving safety. It is reported that the Information Institute of China Automobile Research Institute has evaluated the wechat in vehicle from many dimensions, such as function, performance, capacity, strength, privacy, safe driving, etc., and used mobile phones in vehicle as the control group. The eye movement instrument was used to monitor the eye line of sight shift of the two groups of experiments. In the above figure, the left side represents the driver's eye shift hotspot in the context of mobile phone use in the car, and the right side represents the wechat scene in the car. The test results show that under the condition of on-board wechat phone interaction, the driver's fixation ratio on the main road is 94.74%, which is higher than that on the main road corresponding to mobile phone (72.70%); at the same time, the fixation ratio of on-board wechat on the main road under the condition of information interaction is 91.89%, which is higher than that on the main road corresponding to mobile phone information (65.20%). From the test data results, the report believes that wechat has played a great role in human-computer interaction, avoiding distraction and ensuring driving safety. Generally speaking, based on the vehicle native communication software, it can reduce the vision shift caused by the user's use of mobile phones and multimedia in the vehicle, and help the driver focus on the road ahead. In fact, the release of this report is not to "endorse" the wechat on board, let alone "myth". For the post-80s and post-90s, especially the post-00s, "full-time online" has become a normal life, which also means that social networking in the car has become a rigid need. The progress of technology, just like ADAS (advanced driving assistance system) and so on, improves the driving safety while bringing users high-quality experience. So where is the technical progress of car wechat? This is mainly reflected in the means of interaction. The interaction mode of mobile phone is touch control, which will inevitably bring challenges to the safety when driving. The particularity of the scene in the car requires that the human-computer interaction will be dominated by voice, gesture, expression and other multimodal interaction. Multimodal interaction is the future evolution trend of all vehicle functions. If the car wechat directly improves the driving safety, it is not to say that the evolution of intelligent vehicle technology is based on the core demands of safety and user experience. Since the car wechat can greatly improve the safety, is the smart car technology represented by the car wechat the way to ensure driving safety once and for all? Obviously not. From the data results, although the proportion of driver's eyes focused on the front of the road has been increased to more than 90%, it is obviously not 100%; secondly, even if the driver's eyes are fully focused on the front of the road, they cannot ensure that the attention is always "online", such as "wandering" is a very common phenomenon. Therefore, in the stage where intelligent vehicle technology is not fully mature and perfect, users cannot form psychological dependence on technology, "human" is the first responsible body for driving safety. The car wechat also reflects another thing, that is, the car will have more and more "Networking" functions, and information security has become a new challenge, "hacker" is one of the concerns of car owners. Is there a way to solve the hidden danger of information security once and for all? The answer is "no", no matter how advanced the technology is, "work" and "defense" are always in a dynamic balance.
