Recently, karma, an American electric vehicle brand acquired by the group, announced the EPA endurance test results of its 2020 karma revero GT models. The large luxury four door car with 1.5T three cylinder + motor power assembly has a pure electric endurance mileage of 98km under the EPA certification standard. Note: EPA is the abbreviation of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Its energy consumption test for fuel vehicles and electric vehicles is called EPA certification. It is understood that the 98km pure electric endurance certification obtained by the 2020 karma revero GT is also the longest of all plug-in hybrid models tested by EPA at present. Compared with the previous generation of karma revero, its pure electric range has been increased by 65% (the pure electric range of the previous generation is 60km). The power assembly of the 2020 karma revero GT was upgraded on the basis of the karma revero, replacing the 2.0T four cylinder engine from general motors with the 1.5T three cylinder engine from BMW (the same as the engine); meanwhile, the power consumption was increased from 21.4kwh to 28kwh; in addition, the vehicle weight was reduced by about 162kg (from 2453kg to 2291kg). The maximum power of the karma revero GT has reached 543ps, which is significantly higher than the 409ps of the karma revero. The official data shows that it only takes 4.5s for the karma revero GT to accelerate from 0km / h to 100km / h, and the maximum speed is 201km / h. The revero GT will be delivered in the fourth quarter of this year, with a new model selling for $135000, which is $5000 more expensive than the previous one. In addition, a more robust karma revero GTS model is expected to be launched in 2020, and its 0-100km / h acceleration will be improved to 3.9s. The two models will still be produced at karma's plant in Moreno Valley, California, which is expected to produce between 12000 and 13000 vehicles in the future.
