Recently, Russian media kolesa.ru released an imaginary picture of the eighth generation GTI. Compared with the ordinary model that has appeared before, the hypothetical picture of Golf GTI adds more red elements and becomes more radical in detail design. On the front face, the red decorative strip penetrates the headlamp and the upper part of the middle net, and the GTI nameplate is added on the left side of the middle net. The grille shape under the front bumper is also quite different from that of the ordinary model. There are similar side gills on both sides. The front fog lamp is retained in the interior, while the huge honeycomb grille is in the center. A red GTI logo is also added above the front fender. The wheel rim size is larger than that of the ordinary model, and the suspension is lower, which conforms to the positioning of its sports model. In addition to the GTI logo added to the rear part of the car, the round exhaust nozzle is also significantly different from the hidden exhaust of the ordinary model. At present, Volkswagen official has confirmed that in the future, it will launch Golf GTI and Golf R, two eighth generation performance derivatives of golf. As for GTI TCR and GTD models, they have not been determined yet, and the possibility of introducing these two models into China in the future is not high. Previously, the new golf GTE with plug-in hybrid has 245 horsepower, and the power of GTI is expected to be close to it.
