According to foreign media reports, vitesco technologies (former continental powertrain Division) presented a low-cost compact hybrid transmission solution for the first time at a CTI seminar recently held in Berlin, Germany. The integrated motor is specially designed for automobiles. Because the hybrid vehicle has two power sources: the electric motor, the related electrical equipment and the additional parts will increase the cost of the plug-in hybrid vehicle, and the high cost will hinder its large-scale promotion. To this end, vitesco technologies proposes a new solution, which breaks the traditional design idea of power system and redistributes some functions previously performed by gearbox, with the emphasis on expanding the role of motor in power system. "Cost effective compact hybrid gearbox solution" vitesco technologies designs DHT (special gearbox) for plug-in hybrid vehicles to integrate a high-voltage motor at the output end of the gearbox, so as to realize a very compact automatic gearbox. Vitesco technologies provides the traditional 6-speed transmission system for the economic plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, but it only needs 4 mechanical gears, without synchronous engagement system, auxiliary hydraulic system or starting clutch, while the vehicle starting and reversing are directly controlled by the motor. The redistribution of functions reduces the number of mechanical components in the gearbox and saves space, weight and cost. After the redevelopment of vitesco technologies, the economical plug-in hybrid vehicle equipped with DHT can shift gears smoothly and quietly, with the maximum speed of 120km / h in the mode and 160km / h in the hybrid mode.
