Recently, according to foreign media reports, Land Rover will provide software wireless update (SOTA) function as standard for most of its models. Users do not need to drive to the 4S shop, they can use the wireless update car infotainment system. Jaguar Land Rover's upgraded car infotainment system features a smartphone kit that makes it easy to connect the owner's mobile phone to the car, such as apple Carplay, without a subscription fee. Users can use compatible apps on smart phones through the car touch screen, such as map navigation, music streaming, SMS, etc. Jaguar Land Rover's smartphone suite will also be equipped with Android car system or Baidu car system depending on the market situation. Jaguar Land Rover will provide SOTA capabilities to nearly 500000 existing users worldwide, as well as update touch pro and touch pro duo infotainment systems that include smartphone kits. Most of 2016 and later models can be upgraded free of charge. In the Chinese market, Jaguar Land Rover has also put forward the customer service upgrade strategy of "service excellence", including the SOTA cloud software upgrade service. This global wireless update also further enhances Jaguar Land Rover's user experience in the Chinese market. In August 2019, Jaguar Land Rover announced that it will launch five new vehicles within two years, all of which will be developed with Jaguar Land Rover's new MLA architecture. Jaguar Land Rover also plans to upgrade the wireless function of MLA architecture to meet the needs of users in terms of online services.
