(photo source: Viningl) according to foreign media reports, Swedish automotive technology supplier Viningl (Veoneer) announced joining AVCC to speed up the development of autopilot. Veniner is the world's largest exclusive company of advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) and automatic driving system (AD). Prior to joining AVCC, the alliance has included ARM, BOSCH, mainland, Denso, general motors, NVIDIA, NXP, Renesas electronics and OEM, first level suppliers and semiconductor companies. The aim is to accelerate the realization of safe and affordable mass production of self driving cars through joint efforts. Joining avcc this time is in line with veniner's strategic goal of becoming an industry leader in collaboration and autonomous driving using a human centric approach. The company will leverage its technical expertise to provide high-quality, high-performance, robust, accurate and scalable solutions that meet customer expectations. The standardized computing platform that can realize unsupervised automatic driving, at the same time, it needs to be able to reduce the platform and realize the supervised solution equipped with light software, which will be able to meet the future market demand in a sustainable way. The main purpose of avcc is to develop a conceptual computing platform architecture, whose hardware requirements and software APIs can build an autonomous driving ecosystem, which needs to follow the objectives of portability, interoperability, scalability, performance and cost balance. The conceptual framework enables the construction of today's automated driving prototype system to successfully transition to a large-scale automated driving system. The road to achieve automatic driving is very long, and there are still some technical problems and obstacles to overcome before the successful deployment of the self driving vehicle.
