(photo source: einride) according to foreign media reports, einride, a start-up company of autonomous road riding cargo pod, has signed an agreement with a new partner to conduct a commercial pilot on Swedish roads, which is expected to bring great challenges to the company's electric transportation. Einride will provide services to Coca Cola European partners (CCEP), the official authorized bottler, distributor, sales and marketing company of Coca Cola brand products in Sweden. Einride will commercialize its driverless transportation system between Coca Cola's European partner's warehouse in jordbro, just outside Stockholm, and the distribution center of retailer axfood. Einride will ship Coca Cola branded products to retailer axfood, which will then ship them to a local Swedish retail store. Coca Cola's European partners hope that this cooperation will help them to continue to achieve their emission reduction goals, because einride's system is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by as much as 90% compared with the current solution. According to the two companies, the pilot will officially start in the next few years, and einride hopes to start as early as some time next year. However, due to the pilot on public roads, regulatory approval is still required. In October, einride announced it had raised $25 million (176 million yuan) in a new round of financing, and it has been testing einride electric transport minicars on public roads since May.
