In addition to wet grip, noise and rolling resistance, the new EU tyre label will add information on ice road and snow grip. The new regulations do not apply to studded winter tyres. This measure has been welcomed by many winter tire manufacturers. According to the R & D personnel of tire enterprises, due to different market demands, winter tires have different product characteristics. For example, the design of snow tyres for the central European market needs to take into account both wetland grip and snow performance; some regions in northern Europe pay more attention to ice grip. Jarmo sunnari, head of tire standards, regulations and certification at Nokia, said that if the information on the label is not accurate and detailed enough, consumers may buy the wrong tire. Etrma said the Commission also plans to add more information on tire labels, such as tire wear or mileage. But before this, we need to determine a scientific test method to accurately measure the tire wear.
