The huge reaction between the three-way lithium battery and the lithium iron phosphate battery made people feel cool after thinking about the various spontaneous combustion events of electric vehicles before. It can be seen from the experiment that the blade battery has better security in the face of puncture damage, but because it is a new product, other aspects of performance have to pass the market test. The power battery of new energy vehicles will undergo a series of rigorous tests before leaving the factory. In the "test code for lithium ion power battery system of electric vehicles", there are 16 safety tests including vibration, extrusion, temperature shock, water immersion, etc. In fact, in our daily use, the phenomenon of puncture impact is not common, but there are many cases of vehicles wading and soaking in water. Recently, GAC motor has organized a battery safety experiment activity in a 4S store in Guangzhou. The main role is the power battery on the second generation GAC motor GS4 PHEV. The project is immersion experiment, which aims to show whether the ternary lithium battery, which is known as IP67 protection grade, is safe after a long time immersion and can be used normally afterwards. First of all, this power battery was just removed from a GS4 PHEV commercial vehicle of GAC motor. The battery is located in the middle of the vehicle bottom and fixed with more than 40 bolts. After dismantling, lift it with a crane and slowly put it into the water with a depth of more than 1 m. According to the "IP67 safety test standard", the battery can be immersed in 1 meter deep water for 30 minutes, and the test time is 40 minutes. During this period of time, the battery did not change, and the goldfish in the water did not have any other reaction, which directly shows that its immersion safety can easily reach the standard. In addition to the simple immersion test, this test also needs to reinstall this soaked battery back to the GS4 PHEV. Under the witness of the whole audience, the battery was hoisted again by the crane. After the maintenance personnel cleaned the water stains on the surface and interface, it was installed on the vehicle as it is. After the maintenance personnel reset and checked it, it didn't come out of everyone's expectation. After 40 minutes of water immersion test, the GAC motor GS4 PHEV was successfully started again. What's the origin of this battery? The ternary lithium battery of the second generation GAC trumpchi GS4 PHEV comes from Ningde era. It has mature technology and high reliability. Its battery capacity is 13kwh and energy density is 165wh / kg.
