However, from a technical point of view, Beijing Benz is fully capable of achieving the high-quality domestic production of Eqs. At present, Beijing Benz is the largest production base of Daimler group in the world, with three vehicle factories and factories of front drive, rear drive and electric vehicle. In August this year, Daimler China R & D center project will be completed and put into use, and it will become the largest overseas R & D center of Daimler in the world. The center will undertake the work of electric vehicle performance, chassis test, etc., greatly reduce the R & D cycle of Benz global model localization, and accelerate the model introduction time. The above conditions, from the aspects of technology, infrastructure and other software and hardware, almost all meet the needs of domestic Eqs. But whether EQS will be made in China in the future depends on the acceptance of new car market and the interest game of BAIC and Daimler group.
