Recently, we learned from Beijing Benz Shunyi New Energy Plant assembly plant winning company that Beijing Benz Shunyi plant assembly line is the highest planned high flexibility 40jph assembly line of Daimler, which has the ability to produce all passenger cars and electric vehicles of Daimler, and the product size and weight are reserved for EQS electric vehicles. But when and whether Beijing Benz will produce EQS still need to wait for more information to be revealed. On May 12, 2018, the signing ceremony of Beijing Benz strategic restructuring project was held in Shunyi BAIC R & D base. With a total investment of 11.9 billion yuan, Beijing Benz strategic restructuring project will be built into a high-end new energy vehicle production base with the most advanced production process standards in the world. The annual production capacity of the project in the first phase is 150000 vehicles, the annual output value is expected to be 50 billion yuan, the annual tax revenue is about 7 billion yuan, and the annual production capacity will be expanded to 300000 vehicles according to the development demand in the future. It is understood that Beijing Benz Shunyi plant of BAIC group, with a total investment of 11.9 billion yuan and an area of 1.06 million square meters, has started the next round of expansion project. The project will be completed and put into operation in September this year, and will become the global benchmark plant of Daimler group. After the expansion of the general assembly workshop, it covers an area of 161000 square meters, with an automation rate of 90%. It integrates Mercedes Benz MFA front-end platform, MRA rear-end platform, and eva2 electric platform electric vehicle, which can realize mixed line production. At present, the factory has produced domestic EQC, and GLB will be put into production in the future. Benz EQS is based on MEA architecture and is expected to be officially released by the end of this year. The hatchback shape of the new car makes it more inclined to the car running wind. The A-pillar also has a large tilt angle, and the overall shape is closer to the Mercedes CLS. The interior decoration will adopt the same interior layout as the new generation. The central control part adopts a large LCD touch screen, which is equipped with a row of function buttons under the central control screen. At the same time, the driver also uses a horizontal full LCD instrument in front of him, which is large in size, but different in shape from the new S-class, which looks more sci-fi. At the same time, according to the trailer of the new car, Mercedes Benz's EQS production version of the headlight set or will use digital light, each headlight set with two holographic lens modules.
