According to foreign media reports, there have been rumors that Apple will launch a car. As early as 2018, apple analyst min Chi Kuo listed some new products that apple is said to be developing, including an AR head display and a car. Kuo compared Apple's car to the first iPhone, saying it could help bring the company's market value to $2 trillion. It's said that Apple's auto project Titan has been launched since 2014. Since then, Apple has applied for several patents on auto technology, and has recruited a lot of talents from famous auto manufacturers such as general motors, and so on. Recently, a patent submitted by Apple Corp is related to Apple's new technology. It allows car owners to use voice commands to control autopilot cars, that is to say, the destination, the car will complete all the work, take the owner to the destination, or even stop the car. The patent is "Guidance of Autonomous Vehicles in Destination Vicinities Using Intent Signals", which was introduced in August 2, 2019, but was recently released. Patents indicate that voice commands, gestures and touch-screen can be used to drive an autopilot to the destination. The highlight of the patent lies in the voice control function. If the owner can tell the car that he wants to buy flowers, the car will find the nearest flower shop and immediately deliver the owner to the flower shop. And such voice instructions do not need to be very explicit, as in the above example, they can be very fuzzy. The technology can let the car get context information and find the right destination to complete its own task. In addition, the patent allows the car to find the best parking place. For example, if the owner needs to go to a flower shop which is located in a large market with multiple entrances, the navigation manager of the car will find the nearest entrance to the flower shop and park the car in front of the entrance. In other scenarios, such as telling the car "I want to eat Italian food", the car will automatically find an Italian restaurant, and will find the right restaurant based on the distance, price and whether you have ever been to the restaurant. In addition to voice commands, the autopilot can understand gestures, eyes and touch input commands, and execute commands. The patent explains how the car understands the gesture command, for example, pointing the smartphone to a specific parking point, and the car can understand the command and park the car to the specific parking point. It is not clear whether Apple will use the patent to make its own cars or sell it to other automakers. Although apple Carplay has appeared in many cars integrated with Siri, the new technology still needs the car to have excellent self driving ability to play a role.
