Sales rose sharply in the first three quarters of this year but are still at a loss. Akasol said that in the first three quarters of 2019, the company achieved sales of 31.3 million euros (240 million yuan), a year-on-year increase of 130.9%, 45% higher than the 21.6 million euros (170 million yuan) of the whole year last year. But in the first three quarters, the company lost 2.7 million euros (about 20.91 million yuan) before interest and taxes. (the same period last year was - 1.0 million euros) akasol's chief financial officer Carsten - bowenshen said that the company's power battery business increased significantly in the first three quarters, but the company's revenue decreased due to the postponement of large orders from two customers to fiscal year 2020. At the same time, the investment of capacity expansion in the early stage also affected the company's profit growth. "Customers pay special attention to our new akasystem akmcyc high-energy system, and we have received a follow-up order of three digit million euros from a customer in September. ” it is understood that akasol will provide the customer with the third generation of high specific energy battery system from 2021 to 2027, with a battery capacity of 100kwh, 21700 batteries and a full charge one-time endurance of 700km. In order to meet customers' growing demand for power batteries, akasol is actively expanding the battery capacity of its Langen plant in Germany, and plans to expand to 800mwh by 2020. At the same time, akasol signed a long-term power battery supply agreement with Samsung SDI. According to the agreement, Samsung SDI will supply akasol with lithium battery cells and modules with a total capacity of 13gwh from 2020 to 2027. Akasol plans to develop its third-generation power battery system using Samsung SDI batteries and modules. At present, akasol has produced the first generation battery system akasystem OEM for Daimler's electric buses, with a maximum capacity of 294 kwh. At the same time, akasol will also launch the second generation akasystem OEM PRC. At the 2019 North American battery show, akasol launched its new high-energy lithium battery system, akasystemakm CYC, which has entered the serial development stage of battery modules and systems. Among them, there are two standard versions of akamodule CYC, the small (akamodule 64 CYC) is the same size as the standard PHEV VDA battery module, and the thermal management is carried out through the cooling plate in the system. The large-scale version (akamodule 150 CYC) has an integrated liquid cooling structure, which ensures very effective thermal management of each cell in the larger module design. In order to achieve high energy density and required charging and discharging power, akasol decided to use 21700 cylindrical batteries. With this technology, akasol's new battery system is more competitive than the existing lithium battery technology in terms of cost performance and applicability. At the same time, it can improve energy density by 30% - 40% and realize fast charging.
