Many high-performance double motor vehicles can "kill" and overtake, all thanks to the unique power output mode of the motor. The driver often only needs to step on the accelerator pedal to the end, and the motor can output the maximum torque instantly, which can be regarded as a leader. Today, however, it has a strong rival. Equipmake, a British electrical company, and hieta, a manufacturing company, jointly developed a new generation of motor ampere, which is light, efficient and low-cost. Its peak power density is more than 20kW / kg, more than four times the power density of traditional motors. In short, Jaguar i-pace single motor weighs about 40kg, peak power is 147kw, total power is 294kW, while ampere motor single weight is less than 10kg, peak power can reach 220kw. "Jaguar i-pace" ampere motor has strong cooling performance, combined with lightweight, low inertia and other features, which can greatly improve the speed. Its metal structure can be completed by 3D printing technology, which means that the overall structure of the motor is made of high-strength alloy, and the consumption of expensive magnets is greatly reduced, thus reducing the product cost as a whole. Prior to that, equipmake's innovative APM 125 appeared as a vehicle level motor, with a weight of only 14kg and a peak power of 125KW. It can be seen that the new product ampere has a qualitative leap in weight and power compared with APM 125. It is reported that the first ampere prototype will be put into operation within one year. At the end of 2019, equipmake opened a new plant in snetton, Norfolk, UK. It has a complete set of processes of motor design, test and manufacturing, and also provides a pure electric vehicle platform.
